The president and deans of Taiwan Central University visited the Arctic Research Center and confirmed further cooperation based on the agreement signed between the two parties last year. During the visit, Associate Professor Hirata, standing in for Director Sugiyama, introduced the activities and new structure of the center. Meanwhile, Fellow Dr. Kodama introduced the international network promoted by the center, which also includes the Taiwan Polar Research Center, led by Taiwan Central University. Together with the ex-sub Director of our Center, Dr. Uto, as well as Associate Professor Onishi, the current issues and academic activities in the Arctic were discussed for further cooperation.
