In collaboration with the research centers and institutes located at Hokkaido University’s North Campus, we will be holding a public event on Saturday, 6 June, on the ground floor of the North Campus Institute for Integrated Innovation. The Arctic Research Center will be exhibiting animals native to the Arctic region. For example, we will be displaying a narwhal skeleton and musk ox fur – creatures that are not usually seen in Japan, even in aquariums or zoos. Visitors will also be able to touch the fur of animals such as Arctic foxes and seals. We look forward to welcoming visitors of all ages.
