The 40th Northern Region International Symposium “The Sea of Okhotsk and Drifting Ice” 2026 was held from February 15 to 18 in Mombetsu. Five early career participants who took part in the Switzerland Fieldwork Program and the ArCS III Overseas Fellowship Program presented their research and also spoke at a workshop organized by our center. The event provided opportunities for exchange across research fields and national borders, and it seems to have been a very stimulating experience for everyone.
