The Finnish Ambassador to Japan, Mr. Pekka Orpana visited Sapporo to celebrate the Finnair’s launch of direct flight between New Chitose and Helsinki on Dec.16th. On this occasion, the Arctic Research Center(ARC) received a visit from the ambassador Orpana on Dec.18th. The ARC researchers have been co-working with Finnish universities of Helsinki, Turku, Oulu, and Lapland since our establishment. And the ARC researchers are very familiar with Helsinki Vantaa Airport as well.
Admiring this mutual relationship, our talk expands to exclusive topic such as the Arctic policy and geopolitics related to the Arctic.
