First Call for Applications! We are now recruiting participants for the “ArCS III Finland–Arctic Field Course.”
This field course, organized as part of the ArCS III program, is planned to be held in late January 2027. It will be conducted in northern Finland in collaboration with the University of Lapland, the University of Oulu, and the Arctic Space Centre of the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI). Through field experiences and lectures by experts, participants will comprehensively study the climate, environment, society, and culture of the Arctic region and deepen their understanding of the practice and methodology of Arctic research.
The course aims to provide young Japanese researchers with practical learning opportunities and experience for conducting research in the Arctic region, serving as a foundation for carrying out independent research. It will also promote interaction and networking with researchers of the same generation from overseas, as well as with experienced researchers.
The application period is from Friday, 25 September 2026 to Friday, 16 October 2026, 17:00 (JST).
