The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) icebreaker CCGS Sir Wilfrid Laurier will call at Wakamatsu Wharf in Hakodate Port in July 2026.
To mark this occasion, the vessel’s Commanding Officer, Captain Richard Marriott, will give a presentation at the Hakodate Cruise Terminal (Wakamatsu Wharf) on his experience in the Arctic.
This is a unique opportunity to hear firsthand about Arctic navigation, support for scientific research, and engagement with Indigenous communities in the Canadian Arctic. We hope you will join us.
Following the presentation, there will also be an opportunity to view the vessel from the pier. (Please note that access to the pier may be restricted in the event of severe weather conditions.)
