Press release: the publication of the paper “Climate-driven shifts in marine habitat explain recent declines of Japanese Chum salmon”

Hokkaido University has issued a press release announcing the results of research by a collaborative research group including Specially-appointed Assistant Professor Arabia Irene Delorfino, Researcher Saito Seiichi, Associate Professor Jorge Garcia Molinos, Specially Appointed Associate Professor Hirata Takafumi, Researcher Kaeriyama Masahide of the Hokkaido University Arctic Research Center, Professor Ueno Hiroji of the Graduate School of Fisheries Sciences, Dr. Miyakoshi Yasuyuki of the Kitami Salmon Enhancement Program Association, and Takahashi Fumihiro of Green & Life Innovation Inc.

The results of this research on changes in salmon habitats caused by climate change are expected to contribute to salmon resource management and conservation.
