On November 11th 2025, Mr.Hamza Fahamoé , First Secretary and Trade Commissioner, Academic S&T Partnerships, Research Security and Innovation, Embassy of Canada to Japan has visited to the Arctic Research Center and exchanged opinions with the faculty members.
During the visit, the Arctic Research Center has introduced its initiatives related to polar research, including the Arctic Challenge for Sustainability Project (ArCS-3), and discussed the possibility for collaboration with Canadian research institutions and academia.
The Embassy of Canada in Japan and the Arctic Research Center has agreed to continue exchanging information aiming for promoting academic collaboration in polar research.
