Hokkaido University under the Project “Arctic Challenge for Sustainability (ArCS-)” supports the development of young resources in Arctic research.

Mr. Kaito KANAZAWA of the graduate school of Agricultural Sciences at Iwate University, is currently conducting research in Norway and Iceland on the impact of climate change on fisheries and their resilience in Arctic and sent the message as below.

“Having completed my research in Tromsø, Norway, I am currently residing in Akureyri, Iceland. While in Tromsø, I gave a seminar at The Arctic University of Norway, where I had lively discussions about my research with local faculty and students. It was an incredibly stimulating opportunity, as I was able to gain a perspective I had never had before and also experience the differences in perceptions and sensibilities between Japan and Norway.”
