Overseas Fellowship Program
Overview
This program has been conducted through the GRENE Project (2014), the Arctic Research Promotion Project (ArCS, 2015-2019), and the Arctic Research Acceleration Project (ArCS II, 2020-2024) with the aim of nurturing young talent.
This dispatch support provides opportunities for overseas dispatch based on the independent research plans of graduate students and young researchers, as well as supporting field surveys, presentations at international conferences, information gathering, research conducted at overseas public-private-academic institutions, and the establishment of international human networks. The aim is to support young applicants in their voluntary and independent overseas travel plans, with the goal of cultivating talent capable of contributing to international arctic-related fields.

Participant’s voice from Oversea Fellowship Program
We offer an overseas dispatch program for young graduate students, young researchers, and practitioners who wish to participate in and present at international conferences, conduct research and exchange at overseas research institutions, and conduct field surveys. We have collected feedback from participants in previous overseas dispatch programs, including GRENE, ArCS, and ArCS II. Please take a look at the valuable stories and interesting episodes shared by those who have participated in the program to get a realistic picture of what it is like to conduct research overseas.
