Acoustic monitoring of arctic seabirds – a new paper by Podolskiy et al.

Assoc. Prof. Podolskiy (Arctic Research Center), with co-authors from Hokkaido University and Aarhus University (Denmark), published a paper showing that a colony of a key Arctic-breeding seabird, the little auk, bursts with acoustic excitement at night, under the midnight sun. The study highlights that acoustics is a promising monitoring tool in the Arctic.
