After installing the portable PM2.5 measurement system for cold regions at the Hakodate Research Center for Fisheries and Oceans in April, Dr. Teppei J. Yasunari, Associate Professor of our center, installed the same system on the roof of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Hirosaki University on June 28. The installation was supported by Dr. Sachinobu Ishida, Associate Professor of the Meteorology Laboratory, Department of Global Environment and Disaster Prevention Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology. Through this observation, we hope to assess transboundary air pollution in Aomori from the Eurasian continent. Also, the measured data will hopefully make use of the evaluation of local air pollution events and education at Hirosaki University.
