Presentation Title:
“Quick overview of the natural environment in our planet for non-environmental scientists”
Abstract:
Recent researches in any fields have achieved tremendous progress and still advancing. As a result, research topics became very specific and an essential foundation of the sciences is sometimes forgotten or not even learnt. The natural environmental research is also not an exception. In addition, the recent efforts of the cross- and trans-disciplinary researches faces practical problems that any participants in the researches do not have a common academic foundation, as a result of highly specific, but limited, experience/knowledge only in their own field of researches. This sometimes leads to “ghost participants” who want to join the cross- and trans-disciplinary discussions but cannot do so due to his/her limited experiences/knowledge. In aim to exchange academic experience/knowledge among the participants in the cross- and trans-disciplinary subjects and foster a common academic foundation among them, this talk provides an brief introduction to the earth environmental science for non-environmental scientists as a part of the contributions.
