Hokkaido University published a press-release highlighting a new paper by Assoc. Prof. E. Podolskiy (ARC), master student T. Imazu (Graduate School of Environmental Science), and Prof. S. Sugiyama (ILTS). The group demonstrates that audible sounds can be effectively used for monitoring glacial runoff and provide a cheaper and more accessible alternative to existing methods.
