Helen Smith (Deputy Head of Mission to Japan) visited Hokkaido University Arctic Research Center on February 3, 2023. Prof. Fukamachi, Director of the ARC gave a brief introduction of our center and explained our research activities. We also discussed Japanese Arctic research, Hokkaido University’s distinctiveness in terms of it and the Arctic Circle Japan Forum scheduled for next month with her and accompanying Ms. Marie-Louise Taylor, Science and Innovation Counsellor of British Embassy Tokyo.
