A paper entitled ” Hokkaido: From the “Road to the Northern Sea” to “ Japan’s Gateway to the Arctic” has just been published in the peer-reviewed, international journal ‘Asian Geographer. This article has been co-authored by Julie Babin (Department of Geography, Laval University) and Juha Saunavaara (Hokkaido University Arctic Research Center).
