As part of the collaborative visit of colleagues from the South China Sea Institute of Oceanography (SCSIO), the Cross-regional Research Unit of the Arctic Research Center (ARC-HU) organized a one-day public workshop on the 23rd of July. Researchers from both institutions shared their research activities on marine science delivering presentations on topics such as climate change impacts on marine biodiversity, improvement of model forecasts for prediction of marine species responses under climate change, aquaculture, genetics and adaptive evolution of pipefishes and seahorses, and Arctic marine ecosystems and biological resources. The workshop closed with a session to discuss the presentations, exchange research ideas, and set the basis for future joint work.
