Arctic Research Center Special Seminar was held by a visiting scholar Dr. Yue Wang with the hybrid format on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Totally 18 people ware participated and 8 were online among them. Dr. Wang was visiting Dr. Juha Saunavaara for the discussion on the future collaboration. Wang’s presentation title was “China’s Engagement in the Development of Arctic Energy Resources.” He argued that China’s cooperative strategies for Arctic fossil fuel and renewable energy development, particularly from energy security and sustainable development perspectives. Furthermore, he assessed the impacts of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on China’s engagement in Arctic energy projects.<\/p>\n
