Chikita, a researcher of ARC, was awarded the Paper Award and the Academic Award by the 43rd Conference of the Japanese Society of Physical Hydrology (JSPH) held on 5 November 2022 in the Kushiro-city, Hokkaido. In <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.34502\/physhydro.2.1_3\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the paper awarded<\/a>, the ice growth in Lake Kuttara, Hokkaido, was numerically simulated, and the non-freezing for the lake in the future, due to the global warming, was predicted.<br \/>\nMany presentations and papers based on the field observations in the Yukon River drainage basin, Alaska (1998 \u2013 2013) and in subarctic lakes and lagoons (2013 \u2013 2021) were also awarded as the Academic Award.
