{"id":6617,"date":"2022-09-13T13:43:04","date_gmt":"2022-09-13T04:43:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.arc.hokudai.ac.jp\/?p=6617"},"modified":"2022-09-13T13:52:09","modified_gmt":"2022-09-13T04:52:09","slug":"220913-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.arc.hokudai.ac.jp\/en\/220913-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Installation of our PM<sub>2.5<\/sub> measurement system at Rakuno Gakuen University in Ebetsu City and about the start of observation."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>On September 5, 2022, Dr. Yasunari (Associate Professor &#038; Distinguished Researcher), of our center, in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rakuno.ac.jp\/archives\/teacher\/9444.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Professor Noda<\/a> (School of Veterinary Medicine) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rakuno.ac.jp\/archives\/teacher\/9395.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Associate Professor Kenji Baba<\/a> (College of Environmental Symbiosis) of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rakuno.ac.jp\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rakuno Gakuen University<\/a>, installed a PM<sub>2.5<\/sub> measurement system for cold regions on the roof of the central building of the university and began observing PM<sub>2.5<\/sub>. This instrument is a commercial version of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arc.hokudai.ac.jp\/220311-2\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the one that Associate Professor Yasunari has developed in collaboration with a research group at Nagoya University<\/a> and is <a href=\"http:\/\/kktanaka.co.jp\/products\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">now sold by Tanaka Co., Ltd<\/a>. Tanaka Co., Ltd. also provided support for the installation of the instrument this time. Currently, the Ministry of the Environment&#8217;s &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/soramame.env.go.jp\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Soramame-Kun<\/a>&#8221; for the PM<sub>2.5<\/sub> measurements is available at 13 stations in Sapporo but not in neighboring Ebetsu City. Therefore, this installation is expected to be used to evaluate air pollution by PM<sub>2.5<\/sub> in Ebetsu City and provide valuable data for discussing air pollution measures in the city.
