{"id":3595,"date":"2019-06-06T13:28:08","date_gmt":"2019-06-06T04:28:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.arc.hokudai.ac.jp\/?p=3595"},"modified":"2019-06-07T15:52:59","modified_gmt":"2019-06-07T06:52:59","slug":"washington-post","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.arc.hokudai.ac.jp\/en\/washington-post\/","title":{"rendered":"Washington Post visits us for coverage on &#8220;Changing Climate Effects for Salmon&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>\u3000Mr. Simon Denyer, Bureau Chief of Japan and Korea, and Ms Akiko Kashiwagi, Reporter, The Washington Post, visited our center in order to cover on &#8220;changing climate effects for salmon&#8221;, which was presented by Emeritus Prof. Masahide Kaeriyama as a keynote presentation at the NPAFC-IYS Workshop on Salmon Ocean Ecology in a Changing Climate in Portland, 18-20th June, 2019 (<a href=\"https:\/\/npafc.org\/workshop-2019\/\">https:\/\/npafc.org\/workshop-2019\/<\/a>) . Chum salmon (<em>Oncorhynchus keta<\/em>) have been affected positively for northern populations including the Arctic Ocean, but negatively for southern populations (e.g., Japanese populations).
