{"id":10203,"date":"2025-10-28T11:12:59","date_gmt":"2025-10-28T02:12:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.arc.hokudai.ac.jp\/?p=10203"},"modified":"2025-10-28T11:12:59","modified_gmt":"2025-10-28T02:12:59","slug":"251028-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.arc.hokudai.ac.jp\/en\/251028-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Workshop: Hybrid Governance in the Arctic organized on 23 October 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p><span>Arctic Challenge for Sustainability (ArCS) III \u2013 Arctic Governance <\/span><span>Research Group and the Hokkaido University Arctic Research Center<\/span><br \/><span>organized a workshop titled \u201cHybrid Governance in the Arctic\u201d on 23 <\/span><span>October 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In the first session, Professor Jarmo Vakkuri (Tampere University) and <\/span><span>Professor Jan-Erik Johanson (Tampere University) provided an <\/span><span>introduction to the concept of hybrid governance. This was followed by a <\/span><span>session focusing on Arctic governance, which featured presentations by <\/span><span>Fujio Ohnishi (Hokkaido University), Medy Dervovic (Reykjavik University <\/span><span>of Iceland \/ University of Lapland), and Timo Mohr (Ludwig Maximilian <\/span><span>University of Munich).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The final session included talks by Juha Saunavaara (Hokkaido University) <\/span><span>, Aileen A.
