MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) will start a new project called “ArCS” from fiscal 2015, in which MEXT will incorporate “integrated science”. “ArCS” stands for “Arctic Challenge for Sustainability”.
Collaborative plan of NIPR (National Institute of Polar Research), JAMSTEC (Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology) and Hokkaido University have been successfully selected.
